Meet the Teacher Night at Clark Davidson Elementary School

Karaline had her first day of Kindergarten on Wednesday, August 17.  She is in Mrs. Dayhuff’s morning class where she is proud to be a Dayhuff Duckling. 

 

In the afternoon she goes to the YMCA Kindergarten program which is just down the hall from Mommy’s classroom. Ms. Savute is her afternoon teacher.  She thinks it is pretty great to be at school all day and eat lunch in the cafeteria.

The YMCA program did not start until the 2nd day of school, and since Grandma had been staying with us while Cody was sick (sinus infection & ear infection), Grandma and Paw Paw picked Karaline up from her first day of Kindergarten.  Luckily for me, I had a plan time right when Kindergarten lets out, so I was in the hall watching her come down to the foyer. 

Unluckily for me; however, she was way happier to see Paw Paw than me and ran straight for him.  At least it made for this cute picture.

Karaline LOVES school (gosh, I wonder where she got this from?!).  We are back in the swing of things with Daisy Girl Scouts every other Monday nights, Level 1 Dance at the YMCA on Tuesdays, and WOW on Wednesdays.  WHEW!  I am tired just thinking about it!  You can support the CDS Fall Fundraiser by going to www.allamericafr.com and click on “Online Store”.  When you check out, please select the box that reads “I would like to give credit for this purchase to a school in my area.” Then enter Karaline’s name, Clark Davidson Elementary, and Goddard, Kansas. 

What about Cody?  Well, he has FINALLY learned to say Ma Ma Ma and this morning, I swear he said ball.  Cody is a HUGE fan of hats and balls of all kinds.  He got to celebrate Grandparents Day at Mardie’s house where Grandma was his special guest.  He is also very proficient at high 5, pounding, and blowing kisses.
